Scope of the Journal

The OPEN RESEARCH JOURNAL on LIBRARY MANAGEMENT is a timely series respond¬ing to the increasingly interest on library management in the 21st century. Throughout the centuries, librarians have preserved books and records from the hazards of war, fire, and flood, and it is no idle boast to say that they have played a large part in maintaining the cultural heritage of their countries.

Nowadays librarians faces new challenges and need to pay attention to operational, strategic and event planning; human resource management, including team building and managing change; financial and marketing management; security issues; and managing self.

Having this in mind, the focus of OPEN RESEARCH JOURNAL on LIBRARY MANAGEMENT is to bring forth last developments on library management. It addresses management theory and places it into the library and information services context. It considers the activities at the heart of the management function and looks at ways in which those activities are practiced in libraries and information services.
