Call for Special Sessions


The Program Committee of the Summit invites proposals for Special Sessions that are aimed to cover special or innovative research areas and scientific advances.

Submitting a proposal

Each Special Session is expected to have from 4 to 8 papers and at least one author for each paper must register to the conference and present the paper during the session.

All the papers should follow a rigorous peer review process. The special session chair is responsible for the review process.

Special Session papers will be published together with regular papers in the conference proceedings.

Proposals for Special Sessions must include:

* Title of the Special Sessions
* Rationale of the need and objective of the session
* Session outline
* Specific topics of interest
* Contact information for the Special Session chair(s)
* Short biography of the Special Session chair(s)

Proposals for Special Sessions should be submitted to Miltiades Lytras (lytras@ceid.upatras.gr) before March 20, 2008.

Prospective organizers are strongly encouraged to contact Miltiadis Lytras in advance.

NOTE: All accepted special sessions may run a special issue in 12 International Journals

Call for Round Tables

The Program Committee of the Summit invites proposals for roundtables sessions. These Sessions will be used as meeting points of the Summit to discuss the TOP THEMES of the Knowledge Society. The chairs/proposers of the roundtables swill summarize the key ideas, proposals and insights in post conference reports, which will be pulbished by the OPEN RESEARCH SOCIETY as an edited volume.

Submitting a proposal

Each Round Table Proposal is expected to have from 2 to 8 (co)-chairs facilitators. These are responsible for the organization of the round table according to general guidelines that will be provided by summit organizers. Round Table facilitators can invite presenters or invite papers for their round table. the main differentiation is the focus of roundtables. We are discussing for the TOP THEMES of the Knowledge Society that affect human life, economy business, education etc.

* Contact information for the Session chair(s)
* Short biography of the Session chair(s)
